What is your delivery area? Massachusetts, New
Hampshire, and parts of Maine and Vermont. back
How far in advance should I reserve a trailer?
We prefer a weeks notice to arrange for a rental
trailer, however, we can setup trailer rentals more
quickly in some cases. Please keep in mind that
trailer reservations a based on the availablity. back
Do I have to be a self mover to enjoy the savings
from your rental trailers? Yes, but if packing and
unloading is not a good option, you can still hire a
local moving company to load and unload the trailer. back
Do you
supply ramps or other moving equipment? No. Many
rental stores rent ramps, dollies, and other equipment
if necessary. A few customers build their own ramps. back
Do I have to be present for delivery? We
highly recommend that an authorized representative be
there for delivery. If that is not possible, other
arrangements can be made. Please talk to customer
service to arrange such a delivery. back
Where can I park the trailer? We have
dropped rental trailers in driveways, legal public
street parking areas, and parking lots. It is up to
the customer to obtain permission from city officials
for on-street parking approval.If Fortin is ticketed
or towed for illegal parking, the additional charges
wil be added to your bill. back
Can I store my trailer on your site? We do
offer "on-site" trailer storage. back
What about damage,loss, or theft? Since you
pack and load your own goods, we are only responsible
for loss or damage caused by our negligence. We are
not responsible for damage caused by improper packing
or loading. You should also talk to your insurance
company about a rider to your homeowners policy. back
What cannot be shipped in a Fortin Rental
Trailer? Fuels, oils, paints, liquid bleach,
perishable goods, live plants, pets, propane, paint
thinners, aerosol cans, cleaning chemicals, firearms
and ammunition, pressurized tanks, firewood. back
